Eventually I decided to cut the grass, so I donned my very fashionable work clothes and armed with the strimmer started to cut … …., and here we are.. the wires in the strimmer sent a small stone with great speed against the glass of my car and BBHHOOMMM. Believe me I was terrified . It’s never happened before! Considering that in these strange days, if you start out wrong, it’s better to expect the worst. Obviously, after breaking the glass it started to rain. So I’ll do a small summary of the day: 1- killed the poppies,2- broke the glass and 3- have a flooded car !
Not one of my best days. I thought it could be very risky to go into a recipe too elaborate, so I got out the chickpeas and Taine sauce and made a Humus ,easy- fast-good. I poured myself a glass of wine (I needed it, after having heard ,in the afternoon ,the cost to repair the glass!) . Hopefully , tomorrow is another day.
Serves 4
250 grams of chickpeas (cooked)
½ lemon juice
2 tablespoons salsa Thain
½ clove garlic
1 tsp cumin powder
Ages 2 tablespoons oil
Salt
½ tsp cumin seeds as a garnish
How it works:
Place all ingredients in blender except the cumin seeds. Blend until a thick cream. In a small non stick frying pan brown for a minute the cumin seeds, allow to cool. Serve the Humus in a bowl with cumin seeds above. Serve with bread or bread sticks or carrots cut into sticks.
