Fortunately, the leek is one of the vegetable that survived the frost and snow that have attacked my vegetable garden this year! I’m not a big fan of the leek but believe me coupled with smoked ham, then sprinkled with corn meal and fried it …. believe me it is fantastic!
Ingredients x 10 rolls
1 leek
100 grams finely sliced smoked ham
2 egg whites
1 cup of wheat seeds flour
Oil for frying
How it works:
Cut the leek lengthwise, trying to maintain healthy leaves. Put the leaves in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and let cool. Lay each leaf and place on a slice of smoked ham. Make sure they have the same size otherwise cut to size. Roll the two together making sure that the roll is well compacted. Repeat. Dip each roll in the egg whites and after in the flour . Fry and eat warm.
